From progenitors to specialized immune functions.

Three main topics, united by one question: how do transcriptional and epigenetic programs determine what a dendritic cell becomes and what it does?

Cell fate

DC development, lineage specification & epigenetic control

We map enhancers, chromatin accessibility and transcription factor networks to understand how DC subsets emerge from progenitors and acquire specialized functions.

Mucosal immunity

RORγt⁺ dendritic cells & tolerance

We study RORγt⁺ DCs in food tolerance, peripheral Treg induction, intestinal homeostasis and the regulation of type 2 immunity.

Immune diversity

pDCs and pDC-like derived cDC2

We investigate plasmacytoid DCs, pDC-like cells, cDC2 heterogeneity, and their roles in antiviral immunity, autoimmunity and cancer.
